About A.K.S.

Connecting cultures through food.

A.K.S. Co., Ltd. was founded with a clear purpose — to connect cultures through food. Our journey began with Anna's Kitchen, a Russian home-style restaurant in Meguro, Tokyo, where we came to a firm belief: food is not merely a product, but a true expression of culture.

Every cuisine is deeply rooted in its history, climate, and values — yet many of these traditions are still not fully understood, nor presented in their authentic form. A.K.S. is committed to addressing this gap. We are not simply a restaurant operator, nor merely a trading company; we position ourselves as a platform that treats food as culture, connecting countries, people, and ideas through meaningful culinary exchange.

Today, our activities include restaurant operations in Japan, international distribution of premium Wagyu — including Halal-certified Wagyu sourced through certified Japanese facilities — product development, OEM planning, and consulting for food-related businesses. Looking ahead, we aim to build a global food network across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

About us

Real operations meet a global market view.

A.K.S. Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company engaged in restaurant operations and the international trade of food products. We combine practical experience gained in the restaurant industry with a global market perspective, focusing not simply on products that sell, but on delivering food with genuine value.

Our core business areas include:

  • Restaurant operations — Anna's Kitchen, a Russian home-style restaurant
  • Import and export of food products, with a focus on premium Wagyu — including Halal-certified Wagyu for international markets, directly sourced from certified Japanese facilities
  • Product development and OEM planning
  • Consulting services for food-related businesses

Our strength lies in combining real operational experience with a clear understanding of market needs. By understanding cuisine, operations, cost structures, and customer behaviour, we are able to design international business models that are both practical and commercially effective.

Our principles

Four principles, one standard.

Authenticity

We do not treat food culture as a mere product. We respect the history and context behind it, and ensure it is delivered in a way that preserves its true value.

Practicality

Business cannot be built on ideals alone. We take into account pricing, logistics, demand, and operations, translating ideas into solutions that are practical and executable.

Trust & Transparency

Trust is fundamental to every transaction. We maintain clarity in quality, pricing, and terms, and prioritise building long-term relationships with our partners.

Cross-Cultural Value

New value is created when different cultures meet. A.K.S. designs these connections, enabling not just trade, but meaningful and purposeful distribution.
